The Princeton YMCA strives to include anyone who wishes to participate in the organization’s programs and activities. In keeping with our mission and core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, we offer financial assistance to individuals who qualify. We do this because it is our commitment to serve all people – regardless of age, race, ethnicity, ability or socioeconomic status. Proceeds from our Annual Giving Campaign and other fundraising efforts help provide resources for the financial assistance program.

In order to help as many people in need as possible, each request for financial assistance is evaluated individually. Assistance is based primarily on family circumstances, hardship, household income and size.

Because we want to offer as many people as possible the benefits of a Y experience, funds are limited, financial assistance cannot be provided to individuals and families for extended periods of time. If you are in need of assistance for long-term services, we encourage you to contact the Department of Social Services.

Once we have received your completed application along with the required supporting materials, we will contact you within two to four weeks. All applications are kept confidential and should be mailed to the Membership Services office.

To apply for Financial Assistance, please stop in at the YMCA or contact Bobby Dobra –

Membership For All

“To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all” endures as the YMCA’s founding mission. “For all” reflects our commitment to being an inclusive place, including all those who wish to grow and enrich themselves by participating in YMCA programs and activities, regardless of their circumstances in life. The Membership-for-All program will ensure that a YMCA membership is accessible and available to anyone in need.

What is Membership for All?

Membership for All is a sliding-scale rate structure based on gross annual household income that is designed for people of all income levels to have access the YMCA and its facilities.

How do I get started with the YMCA’s Membership for All/Income-Based Program?

The Membership-for-All program is based solely on you or your family’s household income.  For more information, contact the Membership Director.
