SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE POSITIONS

SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE SITE DIRECTORS

The Site Director oversees the daily operations at a designated Princeton YMCA School site and ensures the successful delivery of the before or after school program. Working closely with the Senior Director, they will work collaboratively with the school staff team and others to implement an appropriate daily schedule that advances the program goals.  Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, Experience with children in school, after school, or camp setting, and Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Recreation or related field.  Applicants should have sound judgment, ability to prioritize and be self-directed, and work independently, ability to work flexibly with a collaborative team of staff members and volunteers.  Certification in CPR and First Aid is strongly recommended.

SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE COUNSELORS

Staff members oversee the safety and supervision while assisting with the program planning for a group of children ages 5 to 12 in accordance with YMCA guidelines and state licensing requirements. Planning and implementation of specific group activities is the primary function of this position. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with experience working with children, or a strong desire to start a career with in child care. Staff will undergo professional preparation to be a leader of young children. Applicants should have a warm, friendly, assertive personality; be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others; be able to relate well to children; and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with program goals. Certification in CPR and First Aid is strongly recommended.

KINDERGARTEN WRAP AROUND SITE DIRECTOR

Working closely with the Senior Director, s/he will work collaboratively with the school staff team and others to implement an appropriate daily schedule that advances the program goals.  Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, Experience with children in school, after school, or camp setting, and Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Recreation or related field.  Applicants should have sound judgment, ability to prioritize and be self-directed, and work independently, ability to work flexibly with a collaborative team of staff members and volunteers.  Certification in CPR and First Aid is strongly recommended.

PRINCETON YOUNG ACHIEVERS

Princeton Young Achievers (PYA), a Princeton Family YMCA program, is looking for after school staff members to work with children in grades K-5 at our PYA Learning Centers. PYA serves children who live in local affordable housing communities at centers located in or near their neighborhoods. We are looking for someone with classroom or related experience who is energetic, organized, and responsible and loves working with children.

The Princeton Family YMCA is currently looking for customer service driven, multi-tasking individuals to work at a fast paced Member Service Area. Computer knowledge, a great attitude, outgoing personality and a big smile are a must! Responsibilities include successful daily operations of the Member Service of Fitness Center Desks and to troubleshoot membership operations. The job will also be responsible to assist with member check-in, program registrations, billing information and have positive interaction with our members. He/she will complete all other duties and projects as assigned or required.
