Under the direction of the Senior Director, Programs & Operations the Aquatics Director is responsible for the management and operation of the Princeton Family YMCA’s aquatics programs; pool and lifeguard schedules, certifications, YMCA swim lesson programming, competitive swim team, water aerobics, etc. S/he prepares and ensures attainment of program objectives as part of the annual Operations Plan. S/he assists in the development and oversight of the budget. S/he recruits, trains, and develops aquatics staff and coaching staff. S/he oversees program operations at the Princeton Family YMCA and any offsite programming related to aquatics. S/he ensures proper care and use of assets, that the pool is maintained, records are accurate, quality checks are conducted regularly, and all class schedules are comprehensive enough to serve the majority of the membership. Staff members oversee the safety and supervision while assisting with the program planning for a group of children ages 5 to 12 in accordance with YMCA guidelines and state licensing requirements. Planning and implementation of specific group activities is the primary function of this position. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with experience working with children, or a strong desire to start a career with in child care. Staff will undergo professional preparation to be a leader of young children. Applicants should have a warm, friendly, assertive personality; be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others; be able to relate well to children; and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with program goals. Certification in CPR and First Aid is strongly recommended.

Princeton Young Achievers (PYA), a Princeton Family YMCA program, is looking for after school staff members to work with children in grades K-5, Monday-Friday from 2:30-5:30 p.m. PYA serves children who live in local affordable housing communities at centers located in or near their neighborhoods. We are looking for someone with classroom or related experience who is energetic, organized, and responsible and loves working with children.

The Princeton Family YMCA is currently looking for customer service driven, multi-tasking individuals to work at a fast paced Member Service Desk. Computer knowledge, a great attitude, outgoing personality and a big smile are a must!

The Member Service Representative is responsible for the successful daily operations of the Member Service Desk and to troubleshoot membership operations. The job will also be responsible to assist with member check-in, program registrations, billing information and have positive interaction with our members & guests. He/she will complete all other duties and projects as assigned or required.

Enjoy watching kids, playing games, and keeping things fun? We are currently taking applications for an evening Child Watch Attendant. The Child Watch Attendant supervises children in the YMCA member Child Watch Room located in the lobby. This position is responsible for providing safe and enjoyable childcare for members and their children in accordance with the YMCA Mission and policies of the association. Maintain visual and auditory supervision at all times. He/She must be responsible for the safety and well being of each child under their supervision and maintain a creative and playful atmosphere for all participants. They plan and supervise the activities of children and perform general housekeeping tasks and maintain clean and safe area.
