Summer Facility Hours: Mon-Fri: 5:30am-9:30pm; Sat: 7am-6pm; Sun:9am-4pm
At the YMCA, we are dedicated to nurturing the potential of every child and teen. We know and appreciate that the teen years are an especially critical time for young people as they travel on a complex journey from childhood to adulthood, and need opportunities to grow and thrive in a safe space. We offer a range of opportunities for young people to learn new skills, explore interests, practice leadership, experience new things and grow in confidence in spirit, mind and body.
For Healthy Living
The Y offers a Teen Full-Facility membership level which allows young people ages 13 to 17 to utilize the YMCA facilities and participate in group exercise classes. Teens ages 12 to 14 years old must successfully complete an orientation to use the Fitzpatrick Wellness Center equipment.
7GI: 7th Grade Initiative
As youth begin to face the many challenges of adolescence, they are more likely to begin distancing themselves from formal organizations, friends and family, and to experiment with unhealthy and illegal behaviors. The 7th Grade Initiative is an opportunity for youth to engage and connect to the Y at a time that is most crucial to their development.
The Princeton Family YMCA is proud to partner with the New Jersey State Alliance of YMCAs to provide the 7th Grade Initiative, which provides a FREE one-year membership to all 7th Graders in our service area.
We offer group exercise classes designed especially for youth and teens. Personal training is also available for younger athletes. Youth and Teen Fitness Schedule: Fall 2016
