The Princeton Family YMCA offer a safe, welcoming environment in which parents and children can communicate, cooperate and care for one another. Our Family Fun Fridays and family events give families a chance to have fun together in a safe, welcoming environment. Ever-popular pool and gym components help family members relax and fight stress, but we’ve also come up other ways for chidren and parents to spend time together.
Adventure Guides
Why the Adventure Guides program is important today.
YMCA Adventure Guides is designed to strengthen the relationship between a parent and a child. During their elementary school years, children learn rapidly, becoming much more aware of the world around them. During this time, children tend to see adults in their lives – especially parents – as guides, teachers and heroes. Adventure Guides is the ideal program to capture this special window of opportunity, and give you and your child a dedicated time and setting in which to connect and grow together and share in a mutual journey of discovery.
What YMCA Adventure Guides Do?
Small groups of parent /child pairs meet on a regular basis at the YMCA, usually biweekly or monthly. 
Occasionally several groups come together to participate in larger activities such as campouts or parties. These outings are called Expeditions. These meetings are the core of the YMCA Adventure Guides program. Typical activities include games, crafts, songs, stories and outdoor pursuits such as camping, hiking, ice skating or swimming. Have your Birthday Party at the YMCA!
The Princeton Family YMCA offers members a variety of party options to make this day special for children. To book a child’s party and reserve the party date, a current children's membership is required; in addition, a contract must be signed along with payment of a nonrefundable deposit. Sports Party
YMCA coaches will prepare an energetic, exciting program guaranteed to make a child’s birthday event the most talked about for a long time. Parties include an hour of gym instruction and and hour in the party room.
Splash Party
Rent the YMCA pool for your next birthday party. A lifeguard will be provided during recreational time. A party room is provided for opening gifts, games and enjoying cake and snacks (if parents would like to bring them). Note: All Splash parties will take place at the Princeton YMCA Pool.
Family Fun Fridays!
Join us for some stress-free family activities:
January – Dive-in Movie
Full-Facility Members and their families can come in from the cold, float around and watch a favorite family movie! Popcorn and snacks will be available.
February – Sweetheart Family Bingo!
We invite our Full-Facility Members to bring their families for a night of BINGO, prizes, games and karaoke! Fun for the entire family. Register today!
March - SPLASH Week!
Open to the community – this week is dedicated to teaching children and their families water, pool and beach safety. There are limited spaces available and registration fills up quickly. Be sure to check back the website for registration dates!
