Art Camp

Children will experience many types of artistic mediums including paint, charcoal, dry brush and tissue paper and use them in various stylistic manners. Campers will learn about art history & study popular works of art.

Critter University

If your child loves all creatures great and small, this session is sure to be a favorite! Campers will be introduced to a variety of animals and their habitats, as well as visit a local animal shelter, meet a veterinarian and travel to a local farm. This program will help campers grow in empathy and understanding for others and confidence in their own abilities.

Science Camp

This camp offers campers the opportunity to explore a broad range of sciences including: earth & natural sciences, biology, geology and chemistry. Through exploration and observation, campers will discover the world around them. Campers will conduct exciting hands-on experiments daily and head out into nature to collect samples to check out under the microscope!

Splash Camp

Location: Johnson Park School & West Windsor Theological Seminary Pool

This camp is designed to focus on campers' individual swim levels. Participants will be swim tested and divided into a Beginner &. Intermediate Camps based on the swim instructor's observations. Both camps will receive daily instruction by YMCA certified instructors, enjoy recreational swim time and participate in lots of fun and games!

What's Cooking?

Campers learn the essentials of great cooking. They will visit a kitchen at a local restaurant and interview professional chefs.  They will also learn the fundamentals of cooking, following a recipe and presenting the items that they prepare. A recipe book will be created by the participants to take home.

M.V.P. Specialty Camps: 5 to 12 years old (by June 15)

Basketball Camp

5 to 7 yrs. old • July 6-10; 8 to 10 yrs. old • July 20-24; 11 & older • Aug 3-7

YMCA coaches offer instruction in the fundamentals of basketball. Children will work on the correct form for basic shooting and dribbling, learn strategic defense and the meaning of team work. Everyone will participate in instructional games.

Golf Camp

Campers will receive daily lessons from certified instructors who demonstrate correct techniques and form. They will practice daily on the Princeton Country Club driving range to improve their stroke. In addition to learning golf etiquette and fundamentals, campers will have an opportunity to play this course.

Baseball/Softball

Campers will work on the fundamental skills of throwing, fielding (catching) and hitting instruction. Each day will consist of skills and drills designed to improve coordination, sport-specific development and knowledge of the game.

Lacrosse Camp

Designed for beginners, this non-contact camp will help players learn and develop their lacrosse skills through structured drills.  Campers are required to bring lacrosse sticks and mouth guards plus helmets for boys and eye cages for girls.

M.V.P. Soccer Camp

Campers will work on skills, drills and small-sided games that are designed to improve coordination, endurance and skills.  Afternoon sessions will focus on team play and game strategy.

Tennis Camp

Youth athletes receive 2-3 hours of daily lessons by Princeton Tennis Program at Community Park. While exploring the fundamental techniques of tennis, campers will also learn a variety of games to improve basic skills.
