FROM THE CEO
For a century, the YMCA has been a constant in the lives of Princeton residents. Through decades of social change and economic ups and downs, the YMCA has steadfastly provided a welcoming place for fellowship, enrichment and personal development. Regardless of the time in history or the size of the budget, its purpose has remained unwavering and true: to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
There is no question that in times of difficulty and stress, the YMCA’s mission takes on greater resonance and meaning. When the world feels uncertain and anxieties run high, people look to organizations such as the YMCA to find connection and fellowship with others. They turn to the Y to be with family and friends, to achieve balance and get healthy, and to know that their children are receiving the best of care while learning and practicing the YMCA’s four core values that will benefit them the rest of their lives.
Values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility not only serve as the pillars of the YMCA mission, they strengthen the fabric of our community and nation. These are the fundamental values that shape and inform us – as citizens, leaders, and neighbors – to be our very best selves. The Princeton Family YMCA is more committed than ever to teaching and advocating them at every turn.
Thank you for your continued support of the YMCA mission in Princeton – as a member, donor or advocate of our mission. We are truly fortunate to count you as a friend, particularly during these challenging times. We look forward to keeping you apprised of our important work as we embark on our next century of service to the Princeton region.
